Awareness session

Awareness Sessions

Awareness sessions are designed for teams new to data governance or compliance topics. We tailor these sessions to specific departments such as marketing, HR, or product teams, ensuring they understand how to comply with GDPR and other relevant data regulations. Our content includes targeted examples and exercises relevant to each team’s functions, providing practical insights for immediate application.

In-Class Courses

For more specialised training needs, we offer in-depth, in-class courses at your location. These sessions cover specific topics like conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) or setting up Records of Processing Activities (RoPA). Our expert trainers use a wide range of materials to deliver comprehensive, hands-on learning experiences that address your organisation’s unique requirements.

E-learnings

We develop customised e-learnings suitable for deployment across your organisation, regardless of scale. These flexible, self-paced courses can cover various topics, from generating cybersecurity awareness to teaching the fundamentals of data protection. Our e-learning solutions are adaptable to your specific needs, ensuring consistent and accessible training for all employees.

Your employees play a key role in achieving a culture with Data Protection embedded. This mindset change requires a continuous investment in your employees. We offer a wide variety of learnings to elevate collaborator awareness.

  • GDPR Introduction: A session of various lengths where the GDPR is introduced.
  • GDPR for …: Sessions about data protection, but then tailored to the specific departments (HR, marketing, management, sales, procurement, …)
  • DPIA Introduction: Learn employees the essentials of a DPIA so they can more easily contribute to the assessment.

Every modern organisation is largely dependent on information and data, yet still do not all organisations take its security seriously. With this variety of learnings, your employees will know how to aid you in raising the general level of security.

  • ISO27001 Introduction: Make your employees aware of the standard and what their role is in upholding it.
  • NIS2 Introduction: The legislation is not always easy to digest, a curated introduction can help to explain the impact to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Phishing, Smishing and Spearfishing: Train your employees in recognising the modus operandi and acting adequately when being approached by either of these techniques.
  • Secure way of working: Learn your employees how they can work securely respecting all policies and reducing risks for the organisation.
  • Information Classification: What is an information classification and what is the added benefit for our organisation.

Data often doesn’t get the respect and attention it deserves as a critical business resource. To onboard the workforce on the contribution they can make towards getting more value from the data used within the organisation, the following learnings are useful.

  • Data Governance: an introduction and how everyone is actually already governing data in some way or another.
  • Data Classification: what is data classification and how can it help your organisation in increasing value.
  • Data Quality: al lot of decisions are now based on data, how can we make sure we can rely on this data.

A new wonderful opportunity is on the horizon, but it does simultaneously come with new risks. Educate your collaborators about them before it is too late.

  • Introduction to the AI Act: learn about the AI Act and the kind of obligations it entails.
  • Responsible AI Use: your employees will use AI, train them about the policies established within the organisation, but also let them discover the possible impact if not used properly.
  • Responsible AI Deployment: upon the purchase and/or installation of a new AI tool, everyone is excited about the possibilities, but not always considering the consequences. Enable people to recognise risks themselves and handle accordingly.
  • Responsible AI Development: during the development of AI systems, it is important to take the relevant requirements into account from the start. Train the people involved to recognise the risks from the beginning.

Due to the continuous digitalisation of our society, the legal expertise has also evolved to take into account all elements digital. The following subjects are relevant for your employees to stay ahead of future challenges.

  • Intellectual property: an introduction to what it entails and how it is handled within the organisation.
  • Contracting: which elements are important to consider when contracting services with a digital element.

Frequently asked questions about our Awareness offering.

We try to provide you with all necessary answers to adequately inform you about our course. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any additional questions.

Depending on the training and demand, we can always also develop extra materials to accompany the training. These can either be posters to put up throughout the office, or hand-outs to memorise the essentials for each employee.

We always aim to embed our learning as much as possible in your organisation. Depending on the systems available, we will deliver our content, to be inputted in the available system, or provide you with an embed file to implement in the Intranet. This is one of the elements to be discussed in the kick-off phase.

CRANIUM has vast experience with training individuals and even entire organisations with the goal of elevating awareness. We pride ourselves on always maximally embedding our learnings into the culture and processes of the organisation. We don’t want to be an learning-merchant, but an awareness-partner.

We already did training in auditoria for bigger companies. It is however important to stretch that such a size diminishes the amount of individual interaction possible. But depending on the learning goals and subject, this could definitely be an interesting approach.

Due to our extensive experience and well-curated knowledge, we never need to start from a blank page. The time necessary will largely depend on the adaptations requested for this session and the response time to go through our entire process.
